We believe the Bible is the Word of God and is without error.
It is to be taken literally unless otherwise indicated in the text. (II Timothy 3:16-17 and II Peter 1:20-21).
Central Baptist Church will only use the King James Version in its teaching and preaching.
We believe in the Trinity of the Godhead, which consists of: God the Father (Ephesians 4:6), God the Son (John 3:16), and God the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 4:30).
We believe that Jesus is the virgin born Son of God (Matthew 1:18-25).
We believe in the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ (Acts 1:3,4,10,11 and I Corinthians 15:1-4).
We believe that the Bible teaches that there is a literal Satan and his demons. (Revelation 2:13) and that they are working to hinder us in our work for the Lord Jesus (I Peter 5:8).
We believe that God created the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1). We believe that the days spoken of in the account of creation are literal 24-hour days (Genesis 1:5,8,13,19,23,31 and Genesis 2:2).
We believe that God created man in the likeness of his own image (Genesis 1:27).
We believe in the fall of man (Genesis 3:6-19 and Romans 3:10,13,23). Sin is a transgression of the Law (Romans 5:12,18,19 and I John 3:4).
We believe our sins are forgiven because of the shed blood of Christ on the Cross (Ephesians 1:7).
We believe salvation is by grace alone (Ephesians 2:8-9).
We believe the conditions that must be met to receive salvation are repentance and faith (Luke 13:3,5 and John 3:36).
We believe that once a person is born into the family of God, he will remain in the family of God forever (John 3:3-7). We believe in the eternal security of the believer (Ephesians 4:30 and Romans 8:35-39).
We believe in the personal, premillennial, and imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ (The Rapture) (John 14:3 and I Thessalonians 4:13-18). We believe in a Pre-Tribulation Rapture (I Thessalonians 5:9).
We believe that there are only two ordinances to be observed by the local Church: Baptism (immersion), to be observed as soon as possible after salvation (Acts2:38,41), and The Lord's Supper, to be observed as the pastor deems necessary (Luke 22:19,20).
We believe that God's way of financing the Church is through the tithes and offerings of His people (I Corinthians 16:1-2).
We believe that once a person passes away, he will live in one of two places for eternity: Heaven (John 14:1-6) or Hell (Matthew 10:28 and Luke 16:19-31).
We believe that the purpose of the Church is to preach the Gospel to every creature (Acts 1:8 and Matthew 28:19-20).
We believe that every person should be obedient to the laws of the land as long as they do not conflict with God's laws (Romans 13:7).
We believe that every born again child of God should be separated from the world (Romans 12:1-2 and II Corinthians 6:14,17).
We believe that every church member should support the Church wholeheartedly (I Corinthians 4:2 and Hebrews 7:25).
We believe that the Bible is the only revelation that we need to know and do God's will, and it will always be our only rule of faith and practice (I Corinthians 13:10, Psalms 19:7 and James 1:25).
We believe that the church is a visible body of baptized believers joined together for the purpose of declaring the Gospel and doing God's will (Acts 2:38-41).
